Hace veinte siglos ocurrieron milagros que cambiaron el destino de la humanidad: El milagro de la encarnación la maravilla de una vida perfecta la plenitud del amor vertido en una cruz y el portento de la resurrección. Todo para salvar al pecador y reconciliarlo con Dios.

Esto fue posible porque el divino Hijo de Dios adquirió la naturaleza humana para morir en sacrificio vicario expiatorio y propiciatorio. El sacrificio fue vicario porque sustituyó al pecador en el castigo; fue expiatorio porque clavó en la cruz el acta de nuestra condenación; y fue propiciatorio porque reconcilió a Dios con el hombre.

Así El Regalo divino nos presenta la sublime dádiva de Dios en Cristo Jesús un tema cuya contemplación abisma el intelecto y conmueve el corazón.
